Getting started is simple. You can contact us through our website or by email to schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation. During our initial conversation, we'll discuss your concerns, answer any questions you may have, and determine whether our practice in Chicago and therapeutic approach are the right fit for you or your child.
If it seems like a good fit and if schedules align, we'll schedule your first appointment and begin your journey toward healing and growth.

You don't have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many individuals seek therapy when they notice that anxiety, stress, sadness, relationship difficulties, parenting challenges, or life transitions are beginning to interfere with their daily lives.
Therapy can also be a valuable space for personal growth, self-discovery, and building healthier ways of coping. If you've been wondering whether therapy could help, that curiosity alone is often a good place to begin.

Payment is due at the time of each session. We currently accept Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Blue Choice, and Aetna PPO insurance plans. If we are an out-of-network provider for your insurance, we can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
We also believe that quality mental health care should be accessible. A limited number of sliding scale appointments are available based on financial need. Because these openings are limited, please contact us to inquire about current availability.
If you have any questions about fees, insurance coverage, payment options, or sliding scale availability, we're happy to help.

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll spend time discussing what brings you to therapy, your concerns, strengths, goals, and any relevant personal or family history.
The first session is also an opportunity to begin establishing a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship. Getting to know one another is an ongoing process that continues throughout our work together, allowing trust, safety, and connection to deepen over time.
We believe that meaningful change occurs when clients feel understood, supported, and comfortable enough to be open and vulnerable throughout the therapeutic process. Our goal is to create a welcoming, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, accepted, and empowered from the very beginning.
Together, we'll begin developing a treatment plan that is tailored to your unique needs and goals.
For children and adolescents, the first session is typically held with parents and/or caregivers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the child's presenting concerns, developmental history, family dynamics, strengths, and treatment goals.
Beginning with the second session, the therapist will spend individual time with the child after the parents introduce the therapist. This allows the therapist to gradually build trust and rapport with the child in a safe, developmentally appropriate manner while continuing to collaborate closely with parents throughout the course of treatment.

One of the strongest predictors of successful therapy is the quality of the relationship between the client and therapist. Feeling safe, understood, respected, and connected creates the foundation for meaningful growth and lasting change.
Finding the right therapist is a personal decision, and it's important that you or your child feel comfortable with the person you choose. Drawing from a wide range of cultural, racial, and linguistic backgrounds, our team helps connect you with a therapist who resonates with your personal story and identity.
If, after meeting, we determine that a different therapist or approach would better meet your needs, we are happy to provide referrals to trusted professionals, either within our practice or in the community.

Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice. If you provide more than 24 hours' notice, there is no cancellation fee.
We understand that unexpected situations can arise. As a courtesy, the first late cancellation or missed appointment (with less than 24 hours' notice) will be waived and no fee will be charged. After the first occurrence, late cancellations or missed appointments will incur the full session fee of $200, as insurance companies do not reimburse for missed appointments.
